“School of Rock” is an old movie which I had always watched in bits and pieces but not completely. Today I got an opportunity to watch it in entirety. It is a predictable movie, but has it’s own funny moments. The plot is simple, Jack Black is a disgruntled wannabe rock start who lives with his friend and the friend’s girl friend but does not pay rent. He impersonates his friend as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school and forms a rock band with the kids. Of course, the school authorities or the parents do not know about this. The rest of the story is what happens when they compete in the “Rock bands competition”. Watch the movie for some wacky acting by Jack Black and his goofy interactions with the kids and the other school teachers. All in all, a feel good movie about following your passions and not letting your dreams die.
