This sucks big time. Compare this to my experience in the Landmark bookstore in the Infinity Mall (Mumbai). When I was purchasing gift certificates they told me that even if a person comes with it after the expiry date it is okay. They told me that it is procedural they have to put expiry date on it, but they’ll take care of it if someone shows up after it has expired.
